Amanda Jones plays the Dark Horse Saloon Oct. 22nd, 1999 by Stefan |
Amanda Jones put on a great show, opening for Pyrite, at the Dark Horse Saloon. Bevin Davis, from Madfly, filled in for Kristen - the regular drummer, while she remained on the disabled played list. But she was in the audience to cheer for her team on as they played to a well packed house.
The show was a benefit to fight Lou Gehrig's disease and many turned out to the Virginia-Highlands nightspot to support the cause.
Kristen Moss (drums) not shown - She's into horseback riding, writing, playing her acoustic and computer graphics...she helped design the AJ CD cover and does most of the flyer graphics for the band! Her Birthday is November 1. (From their website)
The Dark Horse Tavern is located at 816 N. Highland Avenue in the heart of the Virginia-Highlands community. They have a restaurant and bar upstairs and a small music venue downstairs. You can avoid the yuppie crowd in the bar by entering the concert venue from a street doorway. Be careful going down the stairs. The venue,, now called The 10 High Club, is small and the drink prices are high. Other Links
