Amanda Jones put on a great show, opening for Pyrite, at the Dark Horse Saloon. Bevin Davis, from Madfly, filled in for Kristen - the regular drummer, while she remained on the disabled played list. But she was in the audience to cheer for her team on as they played to a well packed house.

The show was a benefit to fight Lou Gehrig's disease and many turned out to the Virginia-Highlands nightspot to support the cause.

  • The Dark Horse Tavern is located at 816 N. Highland Avenue in the heart of the Virginia-Highlands community. They have a restaurant and bar upstairs and a small music venue downstairs. You can avoid the yuppie crowd in the bar by entering the concert venue from a street doorway. Be careful going down the stairs. The venue,, now called The 10 High Club, is small and the drink prices are high.
